Google Pixel 11 Pro Fold review: sturdier, but still not perfect

The Google Pixel 11 Pro Fold ($1,899, $100 more than last year) finally fixes the main gripes against the last two Pixel Folds. At 10.1mm and 239g, it now sits close to the Motorola Razr Fold (9.89mm / 243g), a far cry from the "two phones taped together" feel of past models.

What actually improved

• Both displays now hit 3,600 nits, a 20% brightness gain.
• Wireless charging jumps from 15W to 25W (Qi2.2).
• The only foldable sold in the U.S. with an IP68 rating and built-in magnetic charging; neither the Galaxy Z Fold 8 nor the Razr Fold has them.
• A genuine triple-camera system, led by a 48MP sensor.

The weak spots

The 48MP sensor still struggles in low light, and MakeUseOf found the overall camera system less competitive than Samsung's and Motorola's. On battery, the two reviews disagree (4,750mAh per MakeUseOf, 4,806mAh per The Verge), but both land below the Pixel 10 Pro Fold's 5,015mAh — while still comfortably lasting a full day.

The verdicts split: MakeUseOf calls it "the Google foldable I've always wanted", while The Verge says it "feels like the end of an era." Our take leans toward the first reading: a foldable that is clearly better finished and more durable, trading a few grams of battery for durability and polish that finally feel right.
