Data we collect

Newsletter

When you subscribe to the Rocks on Galaxy newsletter, we collect your first name, last name, email address, your preferred language (French or English) and your consent. This data is used solely to send you our welcome email and our daily newsletter. It is stored on our own infrastructure (Directus) and the emails are sent via Resend. You can unsubscribe at any time with the one-click link included in every email.

Product-testing contact form

When you use the “Product testing” form, we collect your name, company, email address and message. This data is used solely to respond to your request.

Aggregate statistics

We count page views per article. These are aggregate, non-identifying statistics used to understand which content is read.

Cookies and similar technologies

Advertising (Google AdSense)

We use Google AdSense to display ads. Google and its partners use cookies (including the “DoubleClick” cookie) to serve ads based on your visits to this site and other websites, to limit ad frequency and to prevent fraud. With your consent (collected via our consent banner), ads may be personalised.

You can opt out of personalised advertising at any time:

Local storage

Our newsletter popup stores a small flag in your browser to remember that you have already seen or dismissed it. It contains no personal data.

  • Consent: newsletter subscription and personalised advertising.
  • Legitimate interest: security, fraud prevention and aggregate statistics.

Third-party recipients

  • Google (AdSense): advertising.
  • Resend: sending our newsletter emails (processes your email address).

Some of these providers are based outside the European Economic Area (Google and Resend are based in the United States). Transfers are covered by appropriate safeguards (European Commission Standard Contractual Clauses, or the EU–U.S. Data Privacy Framework where applicable).

Data retention

  • Newsletter data: kept until you unsubscribe or ask us to delete it. Unsubscription is immediate.
  • Contact requests: kept as long as needed to handle your request, then deleted.

Your rights

Under the GDPR, you have the right to access, rectify, erase, restrict, object to the processing of, and obtain the portability of your personal data, and to withdraw your consent at any time. To exercise these rights, contact us at andrea.roquesgalati@gmail.com.

You may also lodge a complaint with your local supervisory authority (in France: CNIL — https://www.cnil.fr).
