What is a cookie?

A cookie is a small file stored on your device when you visit a website. Some are needed for the site to work; others measure audience or show advertising.

Strictly necessary cookies

The site stores your preferences in your browser (light or dark theme, closing the newsletter window) and your consent choice. These are not used for ad tracking and do not require your consent.

Google AdSense advertising

Rocks on Galaxy is funded by Google AdSense advertising. Google and its partners may use cookies and identifiers to serve ads, personalise them based on your visits to this and other sites, cap how often you see them and measure their performance. Learn more: how Google uses advertising cookies and how Google uses information from partner sites.

Your consent

In the European Economic Area, the UK and Switzerland, no advertising or measurement cookies are set before you agree: Google Consent Mode defaults to "denied". The consent message is provided by Google (an IAB TCF v2.2 certified platform). You can accept, refuse or choose purpose by purpose. If you refuse, Google may show non-personalised ads, which use cookies only for frequency capping and fraud prevention where the law allows.

Changing your choice

You can change your mind at any time with the "Manage cookies" link at the bottom of every page. You can also delete cookies in your browser settings, or turn off ad personalisation at adssettings.google.com.

Retention

Your consent choice is kept for up to 13 months, after which you are asked again. Google cookie lifetimes are listed in Google's privacy policy.
