Tesla Roadster livestream: 2:55 a.m. in Paris, 1:55 a.m. in London

Tesla finally has a time. In a post on X on October 13, the company wrote: “Roadster event streaming live this Thursday at 7:55pm CST.” Electrek confirms the next-generation Roadster stream is set for Thursday, October 15, at 7:55 p.m. Central.

What time is that?

• US: 8:55 p.m. ET, 5:55 p.m. PT (Thursday)
• UK and Portugal: 1:55 a.m. Friday, October 16
• France, Spain, Italy, Germany: 2:55 a.m. Friday, October 16

Tesla wrote “CST,” but Texas is still on daylight time (CDT, UTC−5) on October 15, so 7:55 p.m. Central is 00:55 UTC.

Where to watch

The stream will run on the @Tesla account on X. If you’d rather sleep, the replay should stay on the same account.

What to expect

The event was first set for October 1 and was postponed over weather; Tesla said it “can only be held outdoors.” According to Electrek, everything points to a demo using SpaceX cold-gas thrusters, scaled back from “flying” to a short hover, with a reportedly remote-operated, non-street-legal demo car. Tesla hasn’t confirmed any of that.

The only official specs are still from 2017 (0–60 mph in 1.9 s, about 620 miles of range, $200,000), and production is guided for “2027 or 2028.” A final price, specs and a delivery window would be the real news.

Background: what’s confirmed and what isn’t about the October 15 event. We’ll post a recap Friday morning.
