A physical controller for the smart home
Homey, the Dutch smart home platform owned by LG, has launched the Homey Portal: a round 2.8-inch touchscreen wrapped in a stainless-steel rotary ring. It sits on a desk or mounts on a wall and controls lights, music, heating and energy monitoring for a room or zone — no app, no phone required.
Price and availability
The Portal is available to pre-order at an introductory price of $249 / €249, rising to $299 / €299 once the first batch sells through. A desk stand and wall mount are included, with orders expected to ship before the end of 2026.
Back to "as simple as a light switch"
"We've always wanted a smart home to feel as simple as flipping a light switch," said Stefan Witkamp, CEO of Athom, Homey's parent company. The Portal is designed as a physical alternative to controlling everything through an app.
