Anker MindBase: a Matter 1.5 smart home hub unveiled at IFA 2026

At IFA 2026, Anker unveiled MindBase, a smart home hub combining a Matter 1.5 controller, an on-device AI engine and expandable storage.
On-device AI called TrueSmart Agent
The hub runs an on-device AI engine (a 26 TOPS “AI Core” card) that interprets events and coordinates devices locally. The first software agents focus on security and network-attached storage (NAS).
Up to 48TB of local storage
MindBase includes 64GB of internal eMMC storage and two drive bays for 2.5- or 3.5-inch drives, up to 48TB total. Security footage can be organized and searched locally, without sending personal data to the cloud.
Connectivity and compatibility
Expect dual-band Wi-Fi, Thread, Zigbee, Bluetooth, two Gigabit Ethernet ports and three USB 3.0 ports. The spec sheet lists support for up to 20 cameras and 34 sensors, plus HomeKit Secure Video compatibility (whose exact scope remains to be detailed).
Pricing and availability
Anker hasn’t announced pricing or a launch date for MindBase yet. The related security kit will include the eufy Video Doorbell S4 (3K, 180°, color night vision), due in late September at $299.99.
