WhatsApp is working on two features spotted in its beta builds: voice-to-text on Android and scheduled messages on iOS. Neither is available to the public yet.
Voice-to-text (Android)
Spotted in Android beta 2.26.37.8 (via WABetaInfo), the feature adds a dedicated button in the chat bar. You speak, WhatsApp shows a "Listening..." indicator, then converts your voice to text that you can review before sending. Unlike a regular voice message, the recipient only receives the transcription, not the audio.
Scheduled messages (iOS)
On iPhone, beta 26.7.10.72 (TestFlight) reveals a scheduled messages feature: compose a message, pick a delivery time, and WhatsApp sends it automatically when the moment arrives. Queued messages will appear in a dedicated section of the chat info screen.
When will they ship?
Both features are still under development with no official release date. They are expected to reach beta testers first before a gradual rollout.
