Supercharger stations now come to your phone. Tesla has shipped version 4.61.0 of its mobile app, adding 3D Supercharger site maps — a feature that was previously exclusive to the in-car screen.

How it works

Open the charging map in the app and zoom into any supported station: the regular street view smoothly transitions into a detailed 3D station footprint, showing charger cabinets, driving lanes and parking spots. Drivers can inspect each stall to check whether it is open, taken or out of order before turning into the driveway.

Previously car-only

Tesla limited these 3D views to vehicle touchscreens after testing the software in an end-of-year pilot in 2025. Mobile access now lets you plan charging stops from home, or check conditions while stopping for food along your route.

Why it matters

  • Avoid arriving at an unavailable stall.
  • Locate your exact charger in large stations.
  • Passengers can look ahead at the next charging plaza too.
