Tesla Megapack 3: Green Turtle Belgium 700MW/2.8GWh Sep 2026

Tesla’s biggest Belgian battery bet is now dirt and concrete. On September 17, 2026, GIGA Storage announced that construction has started on Green Turtle in Dilsen-Stokkem—640 Tesla Megapack 3 units for 700 MW of power and 2,800 MWh of storage.

Who builds what

Tesla is the EPC partner: engineering, Megapack 3 supply, construction, commissioning, and long-term maintenance. Belgian contractor STADSBADER CONTRACTORS handles civil works for Tesla (earthworks and concrete; STADSBADER separately cited ~45,000 m³ of soil and 7,350 m³ of concrete). Preparatory earthworks began mid-August; official construction kickoff was September 17.
