Halloween Mode and a new FSD build are rolling together. Per Tesla Oracle on October 13, 2026 — citing Teslascope fleet telemetry from October 12 — Tesla is pushing software 2026.38.5 with Halloween Mode and Full Self-Driving (Supervised) v14.3.12.

Who gets it

  • Eligible Hardware 4 / AI4 vehicles: FSD v14.3.12
  • Eligible HW3 with AMD Ryzen GPU: FSD v14.3 Lite
  • Teslascope sample of one wave: roughly 1,430 cars, about 92% HW4 and 8% HW3 Ryzen

Halloween Mode

Release-note style copy summarized by Tesla Oracle: put a Ghost Costume on the car visualization, Trick or Treat Mode for spooky sounds and flickering lights when visitors approach, a scheduled haunting light show, and a Photobooth mode. Owner demo clips on X (including Nic Cruz Patane) show owl turn-signal noises and cabin theatrics.

FSD v14.3.12 highlights

  • Upgraded reinforcement-learning training stage and vision encoder
  • Rewritten AI compiler/runtime with MLIR 2 — Tesla claims about 20% faster reaction time
  • Unified model across Actually Smart Summon, FSD and Robotaxi; Actually Smart Summon max speed now 8 mph (13 km/h)
  • Better handling notes for emergency vehicles, school buses, small animals, compound traffic lights and temporary degradations
  • UI: pick an intervention reason after takeover; see intervention-free distance and longest streak in the Self-Driving app; parking options and a (P) pin on the map

Rocks take

The spooky light show will get the social clips — the more important line is the unified Summon/FSD/Robotaxi model and the HW3 Ryzen carve-out. Intel Atom HW3 owners are still waiting on a different path.
