Tesla's Full Self-Driving (FSD) rollout in Europe keeps dragging on. After a first Dutch type approval back in April, the EU-wide vote that was supposed to clear the way has been pushed back once more, reports Teslarati.
An approval in hand, but no vote
Tesla Europe had pointed to a vote around October 6. The first European type approval had actually been granted by the Dutch authority RDW on April 10, under UN Regulation 171 and an Article 39 exemption in EU Regulation 2018/858. That file is what other member states have been recognizing one by one.
A hesitant committee
The relevant EU committee has now discussed the request twice without voting. The result: no firm date for EU-wide authorization, even though FSD is already sold in North America.
Elon Musk's response to the latest delay was a single word posted on X on September 25: "Sigh."
