Headphones you can share without passing them around. As The Verge reported on October 6, 2026, Tomorrow Doesn’t Matter’s (TDM) Neo—shown at CES 2026 and funded on Kickstarter in February—is now on sale in the US.
The trick: four drivers per cup pair
Instead of rotating cups, each ear cup has a 40mm driver inside and a 40mm driver outside. Worn normally, only the inner drivers play. Roll the flexible headband up and the outward-facing drivers work as a pair of 5-watt speakers.
Key specs (TDM claims)
- 200+ hours of listening as headphones; about 16 hours in speaker mode
- Removable, replaceable battery and memory-foam cushions
- 3.5mm wired input when your source lacks Bluetooth
- Carrying case included; Onyx Black or Cool White
Price and availability
$249 on TDM’s store, Amazon and Walmart in the US. No European pricing has been announced.
First impressions
The Verge’s CES hands-on found the Neo a bit bass-heavy and physically heavy because of the extra speaker hardware, but good-sounding and fun to roll up.
Rocks take
The 200-hour claim and user-replaceable battery are the real stories—a repairable over-ear that can double as a desk speaker. We’d want to test speaker-mode volume before trusting it for a picnic.
FAQ
Does it have ANC? Neither The Verge nor the launch details highlight active noise cancellation, so don’t assume it.
Can I buy it in France? Not officially yet; the launch is US-only.
