Shelly goes all-in on Thread
Bulgarian maker Shelly (Allterco Robotics) is developing ThreadLink, a solution in which not only Matter but all TCP/IP traffic will be handled over the Thread mesh protocol, reports matter-smarthome.de. Proprietary features such as the Shelly Cloud and Shelly API are expected to remain available.
A free rollout before year-end
The firmware update will be free and optional, with a rollout planned before the end of the year. The first products to receive it will be the PowerStrip 4 Gen4 and the best-selling Shelly 1 / 1PM Gen4.
Aqara expands its Thread line-up
At IFA 2026, Aqara also introduced several Thread-compatible products: the T1 Floor Lamp, the T2 Downlights, the H1 Outdoor String Lights, and the U250 Smart Lock, a motorized cylinder reminiscent of the Nuki Pro.
