Samsung has been updating the SmartThings app consistently across Android, iOS and Tizen OS. The latest change revamps the Explore section, reachable via Menu » Explore, reports SamMobile.
Showcasing new features
The goal: better showcase the platform's new capabilities. Over the past few years, SmartThings has added Alexa, Android Auto, Google Home and, notably, Matter integration — making it one of the world's biggest smart home platforms.
Easy Pair for faster setup
Beyond Matter, Samsung added the Easy Pair feature: a simple pop-up menu appears on Galaxy smartphones and tablets when a new, unconfigured Matter-compatible device is detected nearby — making setup of new connected gear much faster.
