Rently launches a Z-Wave Long Range smart-home lineup to cut multifamily deployment costs

US company Rently, a resident lifecycle management platform, has unveiled a new Z-Wave Long Range smart-home lineup built to make smart-home deployment practical at multifamily scale, reports GlobeNewswire.

Three products announced

The lineup, unveiled at Rently Summit 2026 (September 14-16, Santa Monica), includes three products: the Hub 4 Long Range, the Smart Bolt Armor MDL smart lock and the Long Range Thermostat.

A cost question, not just comfort

Z-Wave Long Range extends the reach of sensors and locks without repeaters, dramatically reducing the number of hubs needed in a building. For operators managing hundreds of units, that is a direct lever to cut deployment costs.

The beta phase begins in January 2027. Rently, marking its 15th year, positions the lineup as a profitability tool for its operator clients, not just a convenience for residents.
