Pimax wants wireless PC VR without compression. On October 6, 2026, the company unveiled Crystal Pro, a wireless headset built around what it calls Native Foveated Streaming.

How Native Foveated Streaming works

  • Built-in Wi-Fi streaming plus a dedicated Wi-Fi 6E adapter in the box
  • Optional 60G AirLink kit: using eye-tracking, a 60GHz link sends the GPU’s native image to the panels in your focus area, without Wi-Fi encoding
  • Two Room Antennas in 2×2 MIMO, a first for VR headsets according to Pimax: up to 6 Gbps and under 2 ms of added latency

Specs

  • QLED panels at 2880×2880 per eye, aspheric glass lenses, 110° field of view, up to 120Hz
  • Eye-tracking, SLAM 2.0 inside-out tracking, swappable faceplate for Lighthouse or MR passthrough with LiDAR depth
  • No built-in battery: an included 16,000 mAh external pack

Price

$1,399, or $1,899 with the AirLink kit; the kit alone is $599. Reservations cost $1 on pimax.com; shipping dates are not announced. Pimax also showed Ringless VR Controllers and the Spation mini-PC (Ryzen 7 9800X3D with RX 9070 XT or RTX 5070 Ti, Windows or SteamOS); prices to follow.

Rocks take

Foveated, uncompressed wireless is the holy grail for sim racers and flight-sim fans. The latency and throughput numbers are Pimax’s own; we will judge once units ship.
