Google Home MCP Lets Claude and Other AI Agents Control Nest Devices

Your chatbot can finally toggle the hallway lights—if you pay for the right Nest tier. On September 16, 2026, TechCrunch and 9to5Google reported that Google launched early access to Home MCP, a Model Context Protocol server for the Google Home ecosystem.
