Bosch connects its heat pumps to Bosch Smart Home thermostats

At IFA 2026, Bosch announced that its Bosch and Buderus heat pumps can now be connected to Bosch Smart Home thermostats, enabling smart control of heating.
The integration is part of the group's "always on" strategy: digitalization, AI and connectivity are opening up new services and business models around heating.
Electric heating on the rise
Group heat pump sales grew 40% in the first half of 2026 in Germany, driven by the electrification of the building stock. Meanwhile, a Bosch survey shows one in two Germans is considering investing in home cooling, carried by air conditioners and well-being products such as air purifiers.
Among the new products unveiled is the Compress 8800i AW heat pump, which reaches very high flow temperatures and heating power.
