Apple HomeView: $299 Smart Display With Siri AI Ships November 13

Apple finally put a screen on HomeKit. On October 13, 2026, the Apple Newsroom introduced Apple HomeView, with same-day roundups from 9to5Mac and The Verge.

Hardware

  • 7-inch Liquid Retina display (True Tone; auto brightness from 0.3 to 500 nits)
  • Tabletop model with domed speaker base and stainless tilting hinge, or a wall-mounted model
  • Colors: silver, starlight, rose pink, space gray (wall-mounted: space gray and silver)
  • A18 chip with Secure Exclaves for camera and microphone data; Spatial Audio acoustic system on the tabletop unit

Price and availability

Both models are $299 (U.S.). Pre-orders opened October 13 for Australia, Canada, India, New Zealand, the UK and the U.S., with availability Friday, November 13. Singapore pre-orders start October 15. Apple says HomeView is not for sale in the European Union while Siri AI is unavailable in iOS there.

Smart home and Siri AI

HomeView recognizes up to six faces and personalizes Home Screens. Siri AI brings broad world knowledge on-device; personal context (Messages, Calendar and more) needs a paired Apple Intelligence iPhone or iPad. The Home Modular face surfaces favourite accessories; the Home Camera face can livestream up to nine feeds. It works with Works with Apple Home and Matter accessories, and with the upcoming Apple Home Collection (LG + Schneider) starting December, with some accessories into early 2027.

Rocks take

Echo Show and Nest Hub finally have a first-party Apple answer — with Matter support and a hard EU caveat. Home Assistant households will care more about whether HomeView is a solid Thread border / hub peer than about Snoopy faces.
