Google is rolling out the September 2026 Android Drop with five new features. The headline is Motion Assist, which displays animated on-screen dots synced to the vehicle's movement to reduce motion sickness in the car — similar to iOS's Vehicle Motion Cues.

Gemini remembers where you keep your things

Another handy addition: Gemini can now remember where you stored important items — passport, keys, documents — and remind you where they are. The update also touches Google Keep (editable lists) and Google Messages, with features aimed at solving everyday annoyances.

Gradual availability

As usual, rollout depends on your Android version and device: some features were already tested on Pixel phones, while others remain limited to Android 17 in beta. Availability expands gradually to compatible devices.
