Apple’s new M6 Mac mini (16GB/256GB) drops to $779.99 at Amazon (was $899)

Amazon has the 2026 Apple Mac mini with the M6 chip (12-core CPU, 12-core GPU, 16GB unified memory, 256GB SSD) at $779.99, against a list price of $899: about $119 off (13%). Checked on the Amazon.com product page on the morning of October 5, 2026 (US Central): in stock, sold by Amazon.com. 9to5Toys calls it the lowest price yet on Apple’s brand-new mini, ahead of Prime Big Deal Days (October 6–7).

It is the same tiny five-by-five-inch box, now with the M6 chip and a Neural Accelerator in each GPU core for on-device AI work. You get three Thunderbolt 4 ports, HDMI and 2.5Gb Ethernet on the back, two USB-C ports and a headphone jack on the front, support for up to three external displays, plus Wi-Fi 7 and Bluetooth 6 via Apple’s N1 chip. A very good home server or local-AI box that can sit quietly under a monitor.
