Philips Hue launches a $119 camera Sync and a $149 4K HDMI Box

Ambient lighting synced to your TV picture no longer demands a flagship budget. At IFA 2026, Philips Hue announced two boxes far more affordable than its ~$385 Sync Box 8K, plus a surprise Nanoleaf partnership.
Play Screen Sync: the $119 camera option
The Philips Hue Play Screen Sync uses a single fisheye camera that sits on top of your TV. It captures the colors on screen, making it input-agnostic: unlike the 8K Sync Box, it works with native TV apps too. It starts at $119.
Play HDMI Sync Box 4K: the $149 mid-range
The Play HDMI Sync Box 4K slots between the camera option and the 8K model, with a similar experience and compatibility to the high-end version, for $149.
Nanoleaf joins the ecosystem
Separately, a Nanoleaf partnership makes the brand's light-up triangular panels compatible with Philips Hue products. App upgrades roll out beginning fall 2026. Both boxes are available from Philips Hue and retailers like Amazon.
