Ikea LILJEBAGGE: a Matter radiator thermostat for around €15

Ikea is preparing the LILJEBAGGE, a Matter-compatible radiator thermostat listed around €15 in Germany. Three to four times cheaper than a Tado or Netatmo head, with no proprietary gateway required.

The device screws onto a hot-water radiator, adjusts in half-degree steps and connects to Apple Home, Google Home, Alexa or Home Assistant via Thread. A way to democratize room-by-room regulation, as a French decree is set to make it mandatory by 2030.
