September 2026 Android Drop: Find Hub Remembered, Keep in Messages, Motion Assist

Google’s September 2026 Android Drop started rolling out from September 1 with practical feature work—not another AI demo reel. Find Hub remembers untagged items, Messages pulls in Keep lists, Motion Assist fights car nausea, and a parallel Live rollout brings voice workflows to Gmail, Docs, and Keep.

Find Hub Remembered with Gemini

Find Hub now uses Gemini to remember where you left items that do not have tracker tags. You can capture a location by voice with an optional photo, then reopen it from a new Remembered tab. The feature needs Android 16+, per 9to5Google and Ars Technica. It will not replace a dedicated Bluetooth tracker for keys you lose weekly—but it is useful for “I left the charger in the guest room” moments when tagging every object is absurd.

Motion Assist on Android 17+

Motion Assist is now official on Android 17+: floating dots that move with the vehicle to reduce motion sickness. Toggle it from Quick Settings or let it auto-enable when vehicle motion is detected. If you read maps or feeds in the passenger seat, this is the Drop feature you will notice first—and the one non-tech friends will actually ask about after a weekend road trip.

Guided Vision and the Live apps

Gemini Live Guided Vision adds verbal descriptions and framing help for accessibility, available via Accessibility shortcut / TalkBack on Android 9+ where Gemini is available. Separately in the September 3 week, Google started rolling Gmail Live (AI Plus/Pro/Ultra, Android and iOS, English), Docs Live (AI Pro/Ultra), and Keep Live (Android, AI Plus+) for spoken inbox, document, and note workflows.
